How We Did It

We built our firm by providing quality legal work (that's a given), but especially by paying attention to the business side of running a law firm. We excel at the fundamentals of marketing, intakes, sales conversion, data management, technology, and running efficient systems within a healthy culture.

The application of business principles to the law reached its pinnacle for us in the black farmer discrimination litigation. There we were lauded by the Court. Our efforts were instrumental in the Court's granting of a 90+ million dollar fee award, the top of the available range.

Strategy

Strategy

Not just to coach. But to help law firms do it. Good ideas are plentiful; executing on them is rare. Talk is cheap; making good ideas reality is gold. It begins by maximizing intake conversion rates - the single biggest driver of increase profitability. And it continues wherever needed to make sure that the systems and personnel support turning the increased extra cases into profit. That together with sound financial management UPCYCLE principles begins a solid strategy for success.

Is UPCYCLE right for Your Firm?

A large, successful practice is not for everyone; you may not be a good fit for the UPCYCLE way. It requires a commitment from the principal, attorneys and staff - real dedication and drive. If a firm provides commitment, UPCYCLE services can provide tried-and-true intake and volume management systems to grow your firm.

Are you ready?

Who we are not looking for

The smug. The complacent. The ones who do not want to grow. The ones who are satisfied with the way they have always done things, even if there's a better way.

About Us

From two employees and 25 clients in 1997 to 35 attorneys, nearly 150 employees, tens of thousands of clients and having recovered $500 million for clients.

We have built one of the largest and most successful personal-injury law firms in the country in a difficult jurisdiction, with contributory negligence, or harsh statute of repose, and notoriously difficult jurors. With all due respect to the Big Apple, we like to think that if we can make it here, we can make it anywhere in the United States.

"As one of the preeminent TV marketing agencies for attorneys, we have the privilege of interacting with many of the most successful law firms in the country. None are higher on that list than The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin. Year in and year out, the work UPCYCLE has done for them is spectacular. Their case conversion in a state with contributory negligence is nothing short of amazing. One visit to see James Scott Farrin's operation and you'll see Upcycle Legal knows how to maximize ROI for high-volume law firms."

— VP of a Major National Marketing Agency Exclusively for Law Firms

"As a law firm CFO and Executive Director for nine years plus a consultant exclusively to the legal profession for 20+ years, including a decade as an Altman Weil principal, I have evaluated the business processes of hundreds of law firms, including dozens of contingent fee law firms. Having carefully evaluated the operations of The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, I determined that they are at the elite level when it comes to running a personal injury law firm. Combined with UPCYCLE, their organizational systems, software, data management and general understanding of the business of running a personal injury law firm are the best I have seen."

— Bill Brennan, President, Brennan Strategy, LLC

"What UPCYCLE has done with James Scott Farrin is impressive. When I visited their firm, I had an all-access tour of their firm, with total transparency including data and marketing collateral. A visit to see Upcycle Legal's work at James Scott Farrin is well worth the investment of time - you'll certainly come away energized with ideas to take back with to your firm."

Analytics

In today's competitive landscape, you can't continue to run your law firm like a law firm and achieve meaningful results. Running a successful law practice requires tracking large amounts of data and putting that data to use.

Our proprietary software and systems capture that data and put it to use so that you can grow your law firm.
